Tara graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2000. Following graduation, Tara entered Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan where she received her law degree in 2003. While at Thomas Cooley, she was an active member of the Thomas M. Cooley Practical and Clinical Law Journal, Grade Appeals Board, Phi Delta Phi, and Moot Court Board. Tara was also chosen to represent Thomas Cooley in the Jerome Prince National Moot Court Competition in New York. Prior to graduation, Tara worked as an intern for the Honorable David C. Bramlette, United States District Court, Southern District of Mississippi.

Following law school graduation, Tara became a member of the South Carolina Bar and began a year and half term as the clerk to the Honorable Hicks Harwell Jr. of Florence, South Carolina. At the conclusion of her clerkship, she joined Bell Legal Group in Georgetown, South Carolina as an associate. Her practice focused primarily on products liability litigation, representing clients on a local, regional and national level in cases against various manufacturers of defective products.

Tara’s practice is focused on the areas of automobile crashworthiness, products liability and personal injury cases where individuals have been killed or suffered catastrophic injuries.

Tara is an active member of the Alabama Bar, South Carolina Bar, Mississippi Bar, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, Mississippi Association for Justice and American Trial Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in South Carolina and Mississippi, and is also licensed to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
